International Parliamentary Scholarships (IPS) of the German Bundestag

The German Federal Parliament annually awards around 120 scholarships to young people with a university degree from 50 countries worldwide.

The program is carried out in cooperation with the Free University of Berlin (“Freie Universität Berlin”), the Humboldt University of Berlin (“Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin”), and the Technical University of Berlin (“Technische Universität Berlin”).

The German Federal Parliament annually invites young, highly qualified, and politically engaged individuals from Croatia to participate in the International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS) program.

The core of the program is a three-month internship in the office of a Member of the Bundestag, during which the scholarship holders gain firsthand insight into the workings of the German parliament.

In addition, the program includes lectures and seminars at Berlin universities and political foundations, as well as networking with over 120 other scholarship holders from 50 countries.

The program runs from March 1, 2026, to July 31, 2026.
The application deadline is July 31, 2025.

Eligibility criteria: born after March 1, 1996, completed university degree, political and social engagement, very good knowledge of the German language (at least B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
